Those who do well making conversation with others realize that people love talking about themselves.
When you talk about yourself, you know the topic very well.  As a matter of fact, you are an expert!

It is fun to tell people what you are doing and what you think.

But remember that it needs to be a conversation, not a monologue.  When you have the floor and are doing the talking, remember that the person you are talking to loves to talk about themselves, too.  Make sure both of you get a chance to be heard.

A great way to turn the conversation over to the other person is to ask them a question about themselves.
